Johnny Cash - More Information

 

Johnny Cash (CASH) is a 6-7 year old male Standard poodle who recently retired from Show biz.  He was used in Grooming competitions and won several first place ribbons, however he was confined to a crate in a barn most of his life and has very little attention. He was not housebroke when he came to us, or was he ever in a house. He is doing amazing.  He had one accident his first day. He rides great in the car, loves everyone, not afraid of storms. He is not a leg lifter. He now understands up, down and sleeps in his kennel (we leave the door open), he also lets you brush his teeth. He seems fine with other dogs, not sure about cats.

 

Cash will follow you everywhere, if you are moving he is right with you he is very needy and loves attention. He does not require a fenced yard as he will not leave your side. Cash needs a home that will spend time with him exploring his new found freedom / life and patient with his adjustment to this new world.  He is getting more comfortable in his foster home and is starting to relax and explore on his own a bit more.

 

He is a very big strong boy at 75 pounds.  He will be neutered on Tuesday May 2nd and is ready for his forever home anytime. He is currently being fostered in northern MI.
